OOTN- Anniversary dinner

18th October, back before the cold weather hit, was my 2 year anniversary with the boyfriend! We went to Chiquitos for dinner, yummy food, cocktails and a budget friendly weekday menu, what's not to like? They even threw in a free glass of Prosecco each when we told them it was our anniversary!

I'd been shopping the week before and came out of New Look with this cute dress, part of their Kelly Brook range! It was £30 (£27 with student discount) but it was the last one in my size, in fact it was the last one there that wasn't a size 6, so i took it as fate and snapped it up! This occaision was its first outing!

I really love it and think its a flattering cut and would look great on anyone! I wore it with black tights and cheap black flats. The red bow belt that comes with it adds a great splash of colour!

After we got back i had some free time and played around with a red lip (Revlon lip butter in Candy Apple and MAC viva glam cyndi lipglass.) Not something i'd wear out normally but its always fun to play! Apart from that my make up was quite neutral, a nice base and a few shadows from my Naked 2 palette!
(Please ignore my messy bedroom!)

What do you think? Will you be checking this dress or anything else from the Kelly Brook collection out?

Much love,
Becky

Product Rave: Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo

So, I've been using this product for ages now and i'm so in love that i just had to write a review on it! This is a shampoo that you use once a week. I use mine on a Saturday or Sunday as a weekend treat.

This is a cleansing shampoo that i purchased after product was building up in my hair and i didn't know why- one wash with this and all was right in the hair world again.

It smells amazing (at least i think so) and i would go as far as to says its really transformed my hair. I can wash it less often and it just looks and feels a lot nicer! I left it in my shower at uni over summer and actually really missed it!

I'd really recommend it to anyone- its pricey but you only use it once a week- mines lasted a good few months so far! I adore having the weekend hair wash treat! I'd definitely always repurchase this!

September favourites!

Clockwise from top left: Bamli lipbalm,  MAC Painterly paint pot, Laura Mercier Secret concealer "1", Bobbi Brown corrector in "light bisque",  MAC charcoal brown eyeshadow

Only a few favourites this month. I moved back to uni, went to scotland for a holiday and started my last year at uni! I kept my make up pretty simple. If you saw my last beauty haul you might notice one product i bought there that made it in to my favourites, i'm trying out the rest still so you might see them in my October favourites!

Balmi lipbalm: I bought this on 26th September and instantly fell in love. Its everything i wish an EOS lipbalm was! Its smooth and moisturisng and great for on the go. I use it every day.

MAC Painterly paint pot: Whenever i don't have time for eyeshadow or can't be bothered with it i'll put this all over my eyelids. It's a great neutral colour and looks like i have nothing on. It corrects the discolouring on my lids and is a go to for any "no makeup" look i want!

MAC Charcoal Brown eyeshadow: So many people use this for filling in their brows but i love this for a crease colour, its matt and is great for definition!

Bobbi Brown Light Bisque corrector and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in shade "1": Now that i'm back in uni i don't get to lie in every day and my dark circles got worse. This is my dark circle combat duo, i don't know what i'd do without them! I put the corrector on first and then the concealer. I love both of them & will always repurchase!

What are your favourites?

Beauty haul!

So i went shopping to buy a present for my housemate for her birthday and naturally i got distracted by presents for myself! Heres what i got!

Maybelline colour tattoo in "Pink-Gold"
The newest addition to the colour tattoo collection here in the UK. I heard about it on Viviannadoesmakeup's blog and when i saw it in the shops i knew i had to have it! Its a beautiful shade of pink that i find very wearable- and i don't really like pink on my eyes!

Real Techniques setting brush
I'm a sucker for these brushes. I love them. When i saw one i haven't seen before i couldn't pass it up! I use it for highlighter. It's really small and really precise which i love! Its a lot smaller that the contour brush which is what i was using before for highlighter! These brushes are so good and such good value for money! I'd recommend them to anyone!

Revlon Scented Nail Varnish in 'Sublime Strawberry'
I bought one of these in mango for my friend and picked up the strawberry one for myself! I love the shade- i don't own anything this colour and can't wait to paint my nails with it! I love all the revlon polishes i own so i'm expecting great things!

Revlon Superlustrous Lipsticks in 'Pink Pearl' (Pearl) and 'Mauve it over' (Matte)
I've never tried a Revlon lipstick before these. I was browsing and identifying these as pinky-brown shades, which are my favourite and most worn! I've been alternating these for a while now and love them both a lot! Matte lipsticks aren't really my thing but wearing the Balmi lipbam under it gives it more shine! I'm in love with them!
 Left:Pink Pearl, Right:Mauve it over

Balmi lipbalm in "Raspberry"
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipbalm! Its got such cute packaging, a nice scent and just melts on to the lips and leaves them feeling lovely! This is everything i wished an EOS lipbalm would be and more! It can also transform any lipstick and make it sit really nicely on the lips! A definite must have!
 Balmi compared to EOS-Balmi wins!

So that's my haul! Have you tried any of these products?
