FOTD-my parents come to visit!

So my parents came to visit me at uni this weekend. Here's the make up that i wore when i spent the day with them!

On face: Bourjour healthy mix serum, Bobbi brown corrector, Laura Mercier secret concealer, MAC mineralize skinfinish natural, MAC pink tea blush, MAC Blonde mineralize skinfinish. 

On eyes: MAC Bare study paintpot (base), Urban Decay eyeshadows in Verve (eyelid), YDK (crease/outer eyelid) and Blackout (outer 'v') from Naked 2 palette, MAC nylon eyeshadow (inner corner highlight), NYX superskinny eye marker, Max factor false lash effect mascara, Urban decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion.   

On lips: Balmi lipbalm, Revlon Mauve it over lipstick.

FOTD- The easy face

I've been inspired by Viviannadoesmakeup lately and how minimal her make up is. I'm always amazed how she manages to look incredible with just 5 products! Most recently i loved how she looked here. So i decided to cut my make up down and try to go au natural. For my first attempt this is what i felt comfortable in... 

Now i'm aware this is still quite a few different products but we have to start with baby steps- the next day i even managed to just do concealer and eye make up!! 

(Excuse the scary face- only one that showcased the blush at all etc!) 

All it took was a tad of the Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer over a few areas of my face, a light dusting of MAC mineralise skin finish natural to set, a dusting of NARS deep throat blush and that was my face done. For concealer i used the Benefit lemon aid on my top eyelid, some Bobbi Brown corrector under the eyes, followed by some Laura Mercier secret concealer on top. For the eyes all i did was a thin line of NYX's super skinny eye marker on the top lashline, some MaxFactor false lasheffect mascara and then a line of Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in perversion on my water line! 

I happily went about my day like this and went for a family dinner without any extra or touch ups! I'm quite proud! We'll see if this continues or is as easy once i'm back at uni!

Face of the Day- Tea and Cakes

Today i went for a tea and cake afternoon at one of my friend's houses. We all baked something to take along, i baked slutty brownies (link here but i used my own brownie recipe) and oreo brownies. I think its safe to say i'll never be hungry again! But i thought i'd show you the make up i wore!  

On face: Benefit Porefessional primer, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in B10, various concealers to cover my troubling dark circles, MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in Light Plus, MAC Pink Tea blush, MAC mineralize skinfinish in Blonde, Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. 

On eyes: Benefit lemonaid eyelid corrector, MAC paint pot in Bare Study (base), MAC eye shadow in Naked Lunch (lid), Urban Decay eyeshadow in Tease (from Naked 2 palette, on outer corner/ crease), MAC Nylon eyeshadow (inner corner), NYX super skinny eye marker (top lashline), Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous mascara, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion (waterline)
